White wines are the speciality of this region.
The most produced vines are Riesling (about 22% of total production), Pinot blanc (21%), Gewürztraminer (19%), Pinot gris (15%) and Sylvaner (9%). Minor productions (about 3%) concern the Muscat d’Alsace, while the black berry vine most largely cultivated is black Pinot (almost 10% of total production).
