Defined the “highest vineyard of Europe” (with vineyards as up as 1.300 meters), the limited production of Valle d’Aosta is the fruit of an heroic wine growing, with good part of the vineyards disposed in flat pieces of land taken by the farmers from the mountains throughout the centuries, often characterised by very high slopes.
